0.1 THz Imaging with a Monolithic High-Tc Superconducting Transition-Edge Detector

Terahertz imaging has attracted significant interest for its applications in noninvasive medical diagnosis, security systems, and industrial inspections. Superconducting bolometers are one of the promising technologies ultra-sensitive terahertz detection. Here, we present THz images captured by a low-cost superconducting transition-edge detector. The sensing element detector is meander line patterned YBa2Cu3O7−x (YBCO) thin film realizing monolithically absorber thermometer A total 400 nm YBCO deposited on Yttrium-stabilized Zirconia substrate metal-organic deposition method which well-known as an economic scalable chemical, vacuum-free technique. pattern consists 15 series connected parallel lines with length 1.5 mm width 50 micrometers. This shown response to 0.1 equivalents 3 wavelength radiation without any coupled antenna or separate that may reduce detection speed. voltage amplitude fabricated at different modulation frequencies measured utilized concealed objects including cigarettes metallic items.
